Act Correction or Clarification of Defamation

Description Under this Act, a person must make a timely request for a correction or clarification from the publisher of a defamation in order to maintain an action for defamation. If the publisher of the defamation subsequently publishes a timely correction or clarification in a manner to reach the same public that the defamation reached, the defamed person can only receive economic losses if he or she prevails in a defamation action.
